The funds will be used for social and humanitarian projects in Angola, mainly in the area of demining and vocational training. Beneficiaries of the projects will be the vulnerable population of Angola.

Who is responsible for the implementation of the SHP Programme?

Angola and Switzerland nominated each a Representative who are taking jointly all decisions concerning strategic guidance and project approval.

The projects are identified and proposed by various ministries and offices of the Angolan government in accordance to their national strategies.

In the Office of SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation) which so far has been involved in the humanitarian area since 1996, an Executive Secretariat  was established. The responsibility of the Executive Secretariat is the support and the monitoring of the implementation of the programme.
